Embers On My Tongue

Embers On My Tongue is a 2+ player tabletop roleplaying game that emulates the feeling of the Fire Emblem series. You and your friends will determine the relationships of the various heroes in your fantasy army, and see whether or not they can ultimately win their war.

Embers On My Tongue is GMless and diceless. It emulates the feeling of pairing units up and seeing how their relationships develop, as well as long-term strategic planning. It does not emulate the moment by moment game mechanics of the Fire Emblem series.

There are two difficulty settings: normal mode and hard mode:
Normal mode allows you to focus on the relationships between characters without worrying about longer-term strategic planning. No one dies unless you and your friends find it interesting.
Hard mode allows you to focus on the long-term strategy aspects of the Fire Emblem gameplay. Resources are much less abundant, and you must carefully plan when to let units live and when to let them die. You'll still have to build relationships between your heroes if you want to win, but you'll also have to think about which relationships are important and when to foster them.

The game does not currently contain any information on safety and how to take care of each other during play. I plan to add information and mechanics related to safety and support at a later time, but if you plan on playing it please keep that in mind.
